Hoist Pendant Switch

The proper pendant had "a problem" with the switch.

This was the maintenance guy's fix for it. An SPDT Center Off rocker switch.

I think it needs a bit more duct tape...

Man, is that classy or what?

I take it that there was a proper industrial rated pendant on the end of that cable?

I was under the impression you had to use momentary switches on hoists.

Also, duct tape will conduct electricity given the right conditions (temperature/humidity).

Did this guy just put a direct replacement in the "too hard" basket?

BTW, I love the wire nut end sticking out through the tape, it just sets the whole thing off!
