I'm wondering if anybody here knows anything about installation and design certification for solar installation and design?

If so:

- What is the most widely accepted and respected certifying body?

- What are the classification?

- If you've been certified, what have been your benifits to becoming certified?

Just picking your brains here, so any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to add solar to my list of certifications, as I'd like to be able to design, consult for, and install off-the-grid and into-the-grid set-ups.

Thanks for any input!

-Shawn

Thanks Chris, I'll check these out.

I'm surprised there is no certification at the state level, especially here in Cali.
