This is the DIY work on rewiring the porch entry light. The NM stapled to the floor has an attachment plug to fit in the old Despard triple outlet, with the broken cover. Since it is a plug-in it doesn't need a switch so the wires are just spliced and taped. You might want to leave the drywall alone, pal. Something tells me that the wiring will be the least of your worries!
