TOGOL sent both the pic, and the explanation:

I found this hanging on the "contractor " parking lot fence at a powerhouse last winter

.some enterprising plant employees needed some power for their engine heaters and managed to find the only outlet about 300' feet away

they did take the time to get some waterproof white tape on it and secured it to the fence with a few ty-raps though...

and I know it's hard to see the char on the right cord but it IS smoked.
... you can also see the green end of the now sheared ground pin, along with the exposed face n the three way


Oh Yeah, the Guard Shack watched while I took the picture and the whole mess was gone the very next day after hanging there for at least 8 weeks

I know what you mean but this was at a fossil plant in Wheatfield, Indiana......not a nuke
