Anyone ever wired an automatic swimming pool cover? I read in the code where the motor is required to be on a gfi breaker, and the other general requirements, but I went to one site that suggest that there are different safety features such as alarms, etc. that may be required by NF P 90 306-309.
Anyone aware of this?? Thanks Steve

I did one a couple years ago. The instalation sheet was very good and had code referances. Sorry I did not keep a copy and hope this will help. Rod

I believe the pool cover must be GFI protected because it is next to the pool and there are also bonding lugs on it. Also watch where the switch for the motor is located, it still has to follow manufactures instructions and sec. 680.27(B)(2).
