I still can't believe this one! I was asked by my good friend with the fabrication shop to look at the control for the siren that signals "start, break, lunch" etc... Upon opening the panel this is what I found! I pulled out everything just to get a better picture.. Nice eh? Hard to believe this was done by a master electrician!!!! Oh ya I did find the problem I was asked to fix: The battery backup never worked since day 1... ( I removed the little plastic " battery saver" tab they use to keep the battery good while in shipping or on the shelf, and now the battery backup actually works!. No worries this mess WILL get fixed! I once found that same kluge in a street market in Mexico, only sans tape. The vendor had bent solid 12awg through the holes in the plug blades of his boom box. His infant was sleeping only inches away!

I can top that: The clowns who repaired my steps hot-lugged some 12/2 NM to our service to power thier Lincoln buzz box welder!! Ahead of the main!!
Stupid should be painful.
