Well I have not been posting much these days as I have found myself a new hobby, or as the wife prob thinks "He is going through a mid life crisis". OK I am mid 40s and about to become a Grandad, but I have always liked bikes. They were just not practical with kids in the house.

Anyway here are a couple of photos of what is keeping me away from the computer these days. She is 27 years old and at present not running so a little restoration project. I got her from a mate who was about to scrap her

Anybody recognize her this type of bike appears to be popular in North America....

Ah, the venerable Yamaha XJ650. I had one myself a few years back. Solid, bulletproof reliability, and not a bad ride either. What killed mine in the end was the diaphrams in the carburettors perished, and Mr Yamaha wanted an arm and two legs for a replacement set. So I sold it to a friend who has a motorcycle wrecking business and bought an FZR750. FWIW, my friend still has a good supply of spare parts and he does ship worldwide, so if you need any parts I could put you in touch with him.
