took apart this fixture to see if i could add an GFCI in a basement bathroom.
this was a mixture of AL and CU wiring

Good thing you caught this! This could have easily started a fire! And it looks like it was already glowing at some point.

Thanks I suggested that when we were putting the quote together for some other work we are doing there. going to talk to the homeowner tommorow looks like we should remove all openings and check theres been too much hack work here.
