Can anyone tell me what a crooked neutral is?
I had a mentor explain to me what it was, but I am curious if any of the other sparkies here know what it is.
So, whats a crooked neutral?

A Crooked Neutral is a broken neutral conductor or high resistance connection in the Neutral line.
This condition can do damage to appliances as higher than the normal mains voltages can be present upon the phase conductors.
It depends upon how well the system is balanced, load wise.
In MEN ( Multiple Earth Neutral ) systems the earth wire will initially take the neutral current away but as the ground dries around the earth pin, a voltage unbalance may occur depending how ell the load is balanced.
The product of rotation, excitation and flux produces electricty.

OK, I have to add this....
A long, long time ago (30 yrs) there was a term used "lateral with a crroke ground"!
I guess it's safe to now say that that term was used to imply $$$$ to obtain a 'favor'.
Use your imagination; times were a little different then.

John Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! I should have mentioned it in my OP. This is a crooked neutral as it pertains to electrical inspections and the electrical inspector when he sees... Ungrounded Phase: I Ungrounded Phase: I And the crooked neutral: $ D'oh, I just realized that only one line goes through the dollar sign, not two. The two straight lines would've indicated both phases, and of course the added 'S' the crooked neutral. Maybe I shouldn't post after having a few
