Has anyone here joined ESI (Electricians Success International) or been to one of their Success Days seminars? Just curious about the benifits/downside of the program.

Is this group more beneficial to the service side or will they be successful on the residential side as well?

Residential service is their sole target as far as I know.

What about doing residential single home dwelling houses. We are covered with electricians here, several years ago they grandfathered several electricans to a master when maybe they had as little as 6 months exp. The state made it mandatory for all aprrentices to go to school, Ever since that time ,we have electricians everywhere, and there is no county inspections only city. Tough in the state of Arkansas ,but it helps to have home builders.

actually there is more hacks that claim to be elects than plumbers here in nc indiana. makes rates all over the board. hardly anything is inspected and almost 80% of work violates code.

I have looked at esi and some of their plans seem like they might work well. if plumbers here can get 95.00 an hour plus trip charge and elects are lucky to get 40.00 with no trip charge something is going to have to give. why can't elects get 90.00 an hour or more since if we are off that day bye bye house if the plumber is off well somebody get a mop

they have an esi for plumbers and hvac too

I'm going to an ESI seminar in Toronto in middle of January. They are flying me in and back. We'll see what this is all about

Les,
I was wondering if it is worth the money they charge to avoid (more) years of mistakes trying to figure out the proper system. Why reinvent the wheel if you can buy one for a reasonable price.

Dynamite,
I would love to hear how things go. Keep us posted and best of luck.

bhester,
Anything that helps you survive can't be all bad, so keep a builder or two around but start a service division too.
