OK,
Here's a question.
OK, some of you guy's may work in the same place each day but, when you first start work in the morning, do you do a personal "think-check"?.
Also, is there a run-down of new hazards that may be around during your day, caused by the Night shift?.
For those of you that don't work in the same place each day, how are Hazards addressed?.

We do a 5 minute safety meeting at the start of each day outlining any potential hazards we might run across during the day. Openings in the raised floor, welding, trip hazards, etc.

The reason I ask this,
is because, over the last Winter that we had here, us Line Mechanics were doing rolling 15 hour shifts, to get the power re-connected to a whole heap of houses out in the sticks, that lost power when snow brought down poles and lines and pole-mounted transformers.
The biggest thing to us was getting out of the tent that we were living in and getting a good hot Coffee and listening to what the "Night-Crew" had done and any sorts of hazards that they had encountered.
Went for 2 weeks without shaving or a decent shower, I was damn near not even recognised at home, once I finally got there!. [Linked Image]
