WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), UL United Inc., of Houston, Texas, is voluntarily recalling about 150 electrical paintings. The electrical paintings can short circuit, posing a shock or fire hazard.

CPSC and UL United have not received any reports of injuries. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injury.

The "electrical paintings" mentioned in the recall are still being sold at flea markets and craft fairs in upstate NY ! I wonder if the vendors know or care about the dangers these items to the consumer? (6/25/02)
