I have an ultra-sonic cleaner that came from Germany. The power supply states 230V, 50/60 Hz. The power supply cord is European. Does this require a transformer to use on 230v US, or is it possible to change the European plug to a US NEMA 6-15 style 230v plug? I believe Europe provides 230v on one terminal of the plug, whereas the US provides 115v to two terminals. Thanx.

Yes, European 220/230V supplies normally have one pole grounded with the other at a full 230V to ground.

In most European countries, however, the plugs are reversible and appliances are designed and built to allow either wire to be hot, thus there's no problem running on a U.S. supply with each line at 120V so long as the frequency difference isn't a problem.

Just wire to an NEMA 6-15 cap and it will be fine.

What is the output of the Power Supply?

Perhaps you could also just use an US universal LV power supply to run it
