Anyone with ideas on a compact new OS from Micro$oft, had better think again.

I'm sticking with my Windows 3.x....it's killer on my 3.4GHZ P4.<---- hahaha

When a version of OsX runs on generic vanilla PC clones that's what I will recommend to family and friends. I long ago had enough of the Wintel-industrial complex and moved to Linux. The only view of Vista I ever expect to have is screenshots posted on internet news sites. That vista is a bloated resource hog is no surprise, but rather it is just MS upholding their fine tradition of bloatware, since 1995. I'm no great fan of Apple either, but at the moment their offerings seem worlds better than what MS is offering. I am actually hoping that the BSD unix derived OsX will lead to more cross compiling for Linux of commercial software and to more commercial software houses getting off their collective rear-ends to actually develop their software for unix-like platforms alongside the predictable MS only versions that you can count on all of them to produce.
We'll see what the future holds..

Its been over three weeks since the debut, but anyway try a google search on " bootcamp" or look it up at the Apple website. Cool. An alternative approach is " Parellels" software .
