My company recently upgraded to 2005 due to 2000LT causing AutoCad to lock up during printing.

2005 cured that problem but was incredibly slow. An associate found the way to fix it after several weeks of annoyance.

Right click the AutoCad icon and then left click Enable/Disable Digital Signature Icon. Click the check box to clear it and it doubles the speed. Apparently it was looking through every drawing for a digital signature and that was what was causing it to be so slow.

Hope this helps anyone who has the same problem.

Robert,

Thanks for the heads up on ACAD 2K05 (2005).
Is that the Lite version (sure it will be similar for the full version, too).

I've worked with 2002 LT, running under Windows 98 (SER2). No Plot lockup problems, but a few others here and there.

Company's President was running same version on a semi-new machine using XP (this was early 2003), and there were lots of problems... mostly from this Person's lack of Computer / ACAD knowledge, but that's another story!
