Here's a question that may stump a few people, but one that I would like to have solved.
When I first log on to my computer and get to the Desktop, there are 2 diallers that come up, my usual one (Dial-up) and another that says (Dial-up) but, on the taskbar, below, it has an X-A thing next to the Connection, is this right?.
Also, in the Password area, there is something like 13 dots and I have never had a password this long.
If this is a spyware dialler, how do I get rid of it?.
Your help over this matter would be greatly appreciated, as I am too scared to dial out in case I get the wrong dialer. [Linked Image]

Trumpy- Check out Spybot Search and destroy...It's a shareware program designed to root out spyware. Here is there website URL:

http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=home

I'm running it now and it seems to work....

I agree with spybot. I've been using it for a year and have rooted out literally hundreds of nasty things that installed themselves without asking. The author maintains a web site with a continually updated list of problems. I have mine set to check for new versions whenever I run it.
