Are you referring to universal versus induction motors? AC or DC?

Have you used a known-accurate ammeter and voltmeter for measurements?

How do the nameplates compare with read values and breaker ratings?

Are you referring to the type of motors used in vacuum cleaners? Just about all of ones I've ever come across are the universal series type, suitable for AC or DC use.
