Newbie to the electrical field. Can I tie two 750watt inverters together to get a 1500watt inverter. I guess it would be like pulling a 110/15amp line from one house and a 110/15amp line from another house and splicing them together. Would it just short out or theoretically would I now have a 30 amp 110 line, both houses splitting the load?
Like I said, I'm new.

No. Unless they have a external clock input for this purpose.

Not quite. There's a 1 in 6 chance those lines would be in phase if Mister Murphy was not watching.

I would be a bad idea because you could not force the load to split evenly.
But given roughly equal lengths of the same size and type of conductor with the phase and polarity the same, it would work as you guess.

The difference is that electrical power from the utilities has it phases coordinated. Two inverters will have a random and varying phase angle between them unless external clocking is used. The out of phase portions will be consumed as a short circuit.
