An existing aerial feeder consists of 800 feet of 6AWG and 100 feet of 10AWG. It's 120 volts, single phase. 15amp. load. What is the proper method of determining voltage drop when there are two different size conductors on the same feeder. I use VD=2KLI/CM

Use the formula the caculate 800 ft of #6 with 15 amps. Do the same for the #10 at 100 ft with 15 amps and add the two together for the total VD.

VD= Voltage drop 2= length of circuit x "2" K= K-factor. 12.9 for copper conductor L= Length of circuit I= Amps CM= Circular mill

Thanks. It was getting late and the CM part just didn't register in my mind for some reason (we don't measure in circular mils here).
