Ooh look, The plumbers, the electricians and the phone company, all working together. Just look how cozy it looks all crammed in there like that.
Can you say clearance violation.
Oh yeah I just noticed there's the CATV at the very top. Brilliant!

Too bad it's all crammed together like that. The panel and wire routing looks very orderly.
Still, I don't know if I like the unprotected Romex on a finished wall like that.
PS I am only referring to the tidyness of the wires coming from the panel. Specifically not the Phone, CATV or the sump pump power cords. Sloppy.

And there is another stub out for more plumbing. Perhaps they can fit a shower in there as well.

The sump just had to be there first, and probably the drain plumbing as well. So why would the EC hang the panel there?

Didn't have another sheet of plywood on the truck?

What's your Clearance, Clarence?

I'm hoping Roger replies to this thread so I can say "Roger, Roger".

I also see what might be a main water shutoff valve in there - about the same height as the sewer cleanout.

Aw, go on and toss a big ol' refrigerator in that corner and render everything inaccessible! [Linked Image]

You nailed this one, John.

The SE and branch circuit NM are bent around the plumbing stack. This is the electricians violation. Cheap work.

And do we have someone to ask "What's our vector, Victor?" [Linked Image]

What was that EC thinking?! You'd have to stand on (or in) the sump to work on that panel or reset a breaker! I can just see some homeowner, with a flashlight, trying to get into that panel when BAM! Broken ankle at least.

Lawsuit waiting to happen.....

Seems to me it would be more of a PITA for the installer to do it this way than it would be to set a trough and move the panel five feet to the left. Not only are you crowded by those pipes, but that sump-pump cover won't support any weight (don't ask me how I know that... [Linked Image] ).

"Can you fly this plane and land it?"
"Surely you can't be serious!"
"I am serious. And don't call me Shirly."
