This installation was found in the open next to a guard shack. The switch was a key switch and was used to operated an older driveway entry apparatus in a hotel driveway. This person was visiting this city last year and the look on his face shows that he was not happy.

It seems incredible that anybody could have installed something like this.

When you say it was used to operate the entrance apparatus, does that mean it's now disconnected? (Let's hope so!)

Always treat anything that looks like this as being alive or energized, even though the system (this shack and gate) was not in use anymore.
