The attached photo is of two Liquidtight Flexible Metal Conduit's in a Waste Water Treatment Plant. I was wondering if the use if a coupling to connect the FMC connectors to the box was a violation. I had never seen it done before, and have no idea why it is done here.

The fittings appear to be PVC female adapters rather than couplings.
I don't know of a fitting made to directly connect the PVC to the ltfmc.
I think this is OK.
