Are the can lights IC rated? would have been nice to have secured the wiring a little neater. And I really hate blown in insulatation, like working in a snow storm!!

This has been there for years. These cans aren't rated IC and the sheetmetal barriers didn't even make a full circle which means they are, and were, kinda useless anyway.

Happily, I haven't seen this stuff too often. There is something that's almost like cloth fiber that is more common here, but probably 95% of attics I've seen use Fiberglass with paper or foil backing. It doesn't follow you around the house.

I remember some HOT, Sticky days crawling out of an attic with that fiber stuff all over from head to toe. It doesn't put you in a good mood.
