I've seen at one of the Lord Corp.'s control rooms there is a drop floor for running cables. This is gonna sound NUTS, but keep in mind I'm a computer geek. Is it not in violation of the US electrical code to have drop-floors for wiring in a residential structure? (Think: awesome computer room.)
While I've never seen a floor system like that in a residential setting, I can't think of any code preventing it. As long as the wiring is protected you can run it just about anywhere and computer floor affords this protection. Maybe another member has dealt with this situation and can expand or correct my statements.
