Here are a couple of pictures, taken in the Los Angeles area. Shown is an underground service lateral from a pole to a building.

Don't know who did the work, but they didn't have the correct PVC fittings on the truck!

The location is on top of a mountain at a radio transmitting site. No doubt the
installers did't want to make the 2 hour round trip to get the right stuff, so they made do.
