Doing a job adding some circcuits for parking lot lights. One of the underground circuits has pvc run to one of those green rectangular underground boxes (with no bottom) and wires spliced in it, in and out. This can't be legal.

Aldav, this is a common installation and is allowed per 314.30(C) (C) Handhole Enclosures Without Bottoms Where handhole enclosures without bottoms are installed, all enclosed conductors and any splices or terminations, if present, shall be listed as suitable for wet locations. Roger

Just a thought, does the cover indicate "Electric" ???
The green 'irrigation' don't exactly fly, as they are intended for 'low voltage' circuits.
