I imagine the "park" he is talking about is a privately owned RV park. I did several of these that were state owned when I was inspecting. When you actually put pen to paper the size of wire you need at 240v is mind boggling. Most of these new RVs have 50a cords on them and they can use almost every stinking amp of that. Some have 2 big HVAC systems on the roof and every electrical doodad a person would have at home. The parks were originally wired for campers who just wanted a NEMA 5-15 to run a fan, a light and maybe a TV. The state came to the conclusion the only way they could effectivly cover the distances involved was with MV and they deferred to the utility to own that equipment.
