I haven't encountered any problems with double GFCI protection like this. These Tubs have been coming with GFI protection in the control panels and some on the cords for years. Look at Hairdryers for a similar situation. Many come with a built-in GFCI (or similar) and don't seem to cause any problems with the Bathroom GFCI.
