I've personally not heard of anyone being written up for the use of the non-raintight fittings. I'm seeing them being used everywhere I go.
The only raintight fitting I've ever even seen was on Bridgeport's display table at a trade show.

Torque wrenches, a crow's foot, the multiplier for the difference in the handle length, and the math skills to apply it
(many guys can't even convert from inch/lbs to ft/lbs).

What a pain is right!!
