If anyone was wondering where I have been, I have been wallowing in the area of No Computer Access.
My computer was taken out by a 11kV fault down the road, that meant that the Xformer short-circuited and fed 11kV down the LV wires, all of us in the same block here, lost most of our appliances and switch-boards.
I'm still arguing with the Insurance company over a few appliances, but I'm just glad to be back on line.
I lost my power supply, modem, mother-board and monitor.
What really annoys me is the fact that the Surge Diverter I installed a few years ago, only protects against Lightning and didn't trip.
The switchboard melted and I have been rewiring the house after work each day.
I realise that this may be a one-off thing (I'm hoping it is), but there should be a better way of protecting yourself against this sort of thing, don't you think?. [Linked Image]
