In 2008 I spent some vacation time in a few rather questionable hostels in Ireland (some were great, others probably should have been reported to the authorities). Anyway, just when we were checking out of one of them, we noticed water starting to pour out of the recessed halogen lights above the reception desk
SO it does happen in real life!
