Good points all, and ones that I was not succesful in getting across to the Dr. We will always be overpriced in the eyes of the ignorant. The one and only point I was trying to get through to him was that if he hires a handy man, or unlicensed contractor, even though they may or may not know the trade, if something goes wrong, all of the responsibility for it will fall on him. In addition, if people are injured or die as a result, then he will see the real cost. As electricians, we spend thousands of hours learning our trade, and it never stops. Electrical Contractors are businesses with very high overhead costs, and a tremendous responsibility for the safe operation of their installations. Anyhow, I enjoy reading the posts on this site, and learn something new everytime I come here. I just thought I would share this particular experience.
