I have been working on the recertification of a mobile home. The main Panel is 100 amp but is feed by only #6 teck cable protected at 60 amps at the disconnect. the inspector wants this cable rated for 100 amp saying one day the mobile home park will have to upgrade all services too 100 amp.
my next question is I thought ceiling fans had to be mounted to a box that is suitable for fan mounting.
I have no idea if the original box is suitable for fan mounting and have no idea how to put a fan rated box in the ceiling of a mobile home, so we removed the fans and installed key less .
the customer asked the inspector about this and inspector said he knew of no rule where a suitable box had to be installed for a fan.
Any ideas would be helpful.
