I have a 'sign pro' running around doing the same quality work. Came out of a channel letter UL sign, no bushings, etc, to about 10' of skelton neon. Left the Thai rest. with a notice and a promise of $500 fine if not corrected.
We had a local rest. in Union County supposedly burn to the slab from a 'neon' sourced fire.
Another good one is the 'open box, add water, and have neon outline lighting instant package deal'. Seems the weekend and/or 'after 4:00PM' installs are increasing again. (Inspectors 7:30-4:00)
Get caught, no permit....$500; unsafe...$500
No Lic. (State...$$$$$$)
