3 Stooges plumber mistaking conduit as water pipe

A classic. One of the Three Stooges, as a plumber, mistaking a conduit for a water pipe. grin

Yes that what he said!

It was taken from the 1949 short "Vagabond Loafers"

It was almost an exact repeat of a short in 1940 named "A Plumbing We Will Go", where Curly was the 3rd stooge instead of Shemp.

In both of them:
While pulling out the wire the kitchen clock spins wildly and falls off the wall, when is hooked to the water the bulb in the kitchen light fills with water and explodes, and the cooktop begins running water instead of gas. laugh crazy

I've got every short from 1934 to 1959, and all of their movies but 1 saved on one of my computers, and these 2 are my favorites of all.

My wife thought she had that the other day. There was a panel filling up with water and when they opened it, one EMT was just pouring water.
It turned out the roof was flooded and a RTU box was under water.
The roofer fixed the plugged scuppers and the electrician jammed duct seal in the pipes coming down, in case it happened again.
There was also some damage in the panel.

I've seen water thru 4" PVC service conduits in a few places.

I have(may have posted) a pic of a novel way to divert the water.

Here it is:
