So when the 2005 hits the streets, is everyone on this forums going to start batting it back and forth? And, say adios to the 2002?

I probably won't get a 2005, as I won't have a need for it, as it may, or may not be adopted here. For instance, we were on the '93 until 2001 and 1/2, and adopted the '99!

The 2005 National Electrical CodeĀ® is already on the streets and being sold at the IAEI Section Meetings. It will be adopted in most areas by May or June of 2005, why wouldn't we start using it for discussion?

I got my NEC at the NW section, which was on Monday.

Funny story...the IAEI had the analysis book as well as the NEC. In the booth next to them was the NFPA......they didn't have their NEC's available yet!!!

You should have seen the embarrasment that Mark Early had when he saw this!

Ryan, I like Mark Earley and I would bet that you were not reading him right. The IAEI is the host of the section meeting, not the NFPA. I am guessing that the NFPA did not have the NEC for sale as a courtesy to the IAEI.

Ryan,

Did these '05 NECs have the IAEI Logo on them?

If so, maybe NFPA pushed them out first, I haven't seen a 'generic' 2005 NEC yet.

Bill

You "earn" 1/3 the points required for a free copy per year if you are willing to pay for the shipping. If you have been a member for the previous cycle, you will get a free copy this cycle. I assume that has not changed.

I know the old rules, I just didn't see any reference in my renewal statement.

FYI:
If anyone is eligible you have to make sure that you request your copy. I missed out last cycle, they ran out of Books and allowed no substitutions.
