Can someone qoute me the code section that bans dimmers controlling recepticles or am I making this one up?

Sure is hard on power tools ain't it!

BTW, Before '02, it was a non-existant code, 'cept for the listing violation thing (110.3(B)).

Common sense should rule, but, you know how some folks are...
