I have tried to find in the NEC where the prohibition on extending 2 wire circuits is (we are under the 99 code)? I must be blind or I'm missing it, so I'm sure the fine crew here can help me. I felt pretty confident on finding code references but this one has me stumped. Is it maybe an implied thing I'm missing? Thanks guys.

Thanks, sparky. That is the area I thought it was in, reread it and now I'm clearer on it.
