I recently saw some, installed, ¾” RMC that appeared to be in 20 foot lenghts. I think it was RMC because it looked like it had an outer galvanized coating. Is this o.k.? I have never seen 20’ lengths of conduit before? What does this forum think?

The gym in my daughter's school has MH fixtures hanging from what appear to be 20' lengths of 3/4".
I think it must be plumbing pipe.
I know of no manufacturer of 20' length conduit.

While I don't know of any manufacturer of longer conduit lengths, the code does permit such lengths in 342.130 and 344.130.

What you saw most likely was 20' galvanized pipe which looks like rigid on the outside but has a nasty weld seam on the inside which is perfect for ripping up insulation on your conductors!

arseegee-- Isn't galvanized water pipe in 21-foot lengths? The male threads are similar to GRC, but couplings leave a dead-giveaway part of the male thread exposed. Anyone?

Oops...it's PVC, but Carlon lists schedule 40 in 20-foot lengths. [And up to 8-inch!!]
