Anyone have an old zinsco "all in one" 100 amp
panel cover lying about the shop? I talked today with the guy at my shop who handles maintenance & service calls and he has been looking for one of these. Seems there is a condo that a lady bought and had some remodel work done there by another electrician, who disappeared to parts unknown with the panel cover! My co-worker got called in to finish the job, and obviously the inspector will not sign anything off without that cover in place. I have no idea if the previous electrician was a fly-by-night guy working out of the trunk of his car or what, but I suspect so, or else it would be easy to just call him up and get the missing part, but it appears that is not possible. This panel is 20+ years old, but if anyone might have one lying about, I'de love to buy it off of you...

At the risk of opening a can of worms, is an upgrade to something like a Square D out of the question?

yeah upgrade would be my first thought too..
price be damned, after all, based on the address he gave me this is probably a 800-900K condo..

yes just the deadfront. I'll have to get some
pics for a positive identification, which may take a day or two, since I am the one with the digital camera. I am also working at a job on the opposite end of the county, but live a few miles away from the place, so maybe I can drop in after work and snap some pics of the thing.
