My mother and father's house was built in 1974 and an ITE EQ40MBB 200 amp breaker box was installed. Over the years the bus bar behind the breakers has pitted from arcing and such and I have relocated breakers in the box until I am about at the end of my rope. I am looking for just the guts to change out due to the box being encased in their brick wall (bad mistake on pops part). I have talked to all my suppliers and Siemens and nobody can come up with the guts I need. I have measurements on the hole pattern I need the guts to be: 7" across from side to side and 29" from top to bottom, but I can't find any like that.

Any of you know where I might look next or am I going to have to start sawing brick. I hate to do that as the house is a very good looker and you will never match brick that old.

BTW how do I post a pic of my schematic???

I think you can forget about finding new parts for a 1974 residential panel.

My first thought is to rip out the guts, turn it into a junction box and mount a new panel to the side, perhaps even partially overhanging the old panel.

Cutler-Hammer makes 'Renovation Loadcenters' and will likely make custom guts for you.

They pitch this service in their catalogs.

You might contact them.

You did not mention the specific body cavity dimensions. They are more important than the old mounting holes.

SQD nearby fits...
