Closing threads is sometimes justified. Closing the New Orleans thread was a sad mistake. Open it up again; social comment from grassroots folk certainly isn't 'politics'.

Alan,
Closing the "New Orleans" thread was justified because of the way that it was heading, with respect to the comments posted under that thread.
If anyone wants to start another related thread that's OK, but, lets not get into any Political slanging matches or the like.
The original thread was about the actual disaster, which it is, unfortunately that got all twisted out of proportion with the later posts
The thread will not be opened again.
It's best to keep to a Electrical topic here, we are after all an Electrical website.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for discussing this, but why should a thread like this fall into disrepute.
