Well after all those years in the cold and mud I was moved into the office as an apprentice estimator. It's been about two weeks now and has been sink or swim , I'm treading water. :-) This is a "till further notice position". Some aspects I really like, some not. I know I don't participate here like I should, but I visit every day. I just wanted to share with you guys. Wish me luck.

Hello Dave, and congrads. How was the tractor show?

You will become more at ease and comfortable as time goes by, and with the added pressures, you will see these guys (yourself now) do earn their keep.

I have been inside for 6 years now and miss the field, but I also enjoy this part.

Good luck.

I didn't go Roger I was working on a bid.
Hey I,m trying to impress these people. Yes I have a new respect for the position now. Hey why did the catered Hooters lunches, afternoon nap and 10:00-3:00 days have to stop 3 weeks ago?
