We just received 7 2400 volt 500HP motors and I was wondering what tests to use for commissioning these motors. In the past we did a 10 minute 5KV PI then we measured the winding resistance with a 10 amp "DUCTOR" (4 wire high current ohmmeter). Are these tests adiquate?
Another question Does anyone have any experience with an "ALL-TEST" motor tester?
I have seen them advertisied but I have never used or seen one. Are they worth the money?
