Not a great picture, but it does show lots of lights that are actually working! The angle is from behind back stage, the lights along the bottom are string lights to see for loading/unloading...

I provided 100KW of power split between a 70A panel (the dining hall) a 55KW Genny, and the 25KVA temp service.

The dining hall could only run the fryer, the cooler, and two eyes on the stove... plus lights before tripping the breaker... They signed a disclaimer, but I kept an eye on things anyway.

The lights for the show were powered from the genny, 208 3 phase, 225A... Showed loads of up to 100A per phase, sucked down the diesel fuel (about 40 gallons) and ran flawlessly.

The sound and some incandescent lights were powered from the temp 200A panel fed from a 25KVA Xformer, All sound circuits were on the same 120V leg of the buss, while the aux. lights were on the other side.

The stage was 150 ft. away from the panel, and the sound house was 250 ft.

I measured only 2% Voltage drops over the distance, no reading lower than 116V with 118V at the panel, during the day and 120V at the panel and a low reading of 118V at the sound house and stage at night.

78 KWh were used from the temp service.

Nothing tripped, opened, quit or shorted.
Some rain and drizzle had to be dealt with...

I logged about 50 hours in three days...

The green house tent had lights (on a switch!) and the back stage area had lights (also on a switch...)

All lights were GFCI protected. The sound person declined any GFCI or Surge suppression (then, later, tried to blame me for voltage spikes...)

They still owe me about $600, but I've taken home all of the materials, so I guess we're even.

Fat Headed Monster stole the show on Friday night, C60 kicked butt on Saturday, Clutch seemed very tired.

I had a great time and it was very satisfying to see it all work!

Virgil,

You played there too?
That's Cool!

Glad to hear that everything worked out OK (Electrically at least)

Did anyone take a picture of you on stage?

Bill
