A new virus threat broke out on the Internet today (9/18/03)
The W32.Swen.A@mm worm can inflect your computer through Email, IRC, Network Shares, Kazaa, and Newsgroups.
The Email infection masquerades as a security notice with a "patch" attached to the Email from Microsoft.
Please be advised, Microsoft does *NOT* send security patches via email.
The virus also takes advantage of a security flaw in Microsoft Outlook that allows an attached .exe files to be executed without *ANY* user action.
Emails with an .exe attachment are filtered before they reach your in box so again this is an ‘FYI’.
