Glenn,

You'll find A/C in big commercial buildings, like supermarkets, office towers, etc., but not in the average small store.

As for residential, it's almost unheard of, as the temperatures here seldom get hot enough to warrant it. One or two of the mansion set might have it, but I've never worked on a house here with A/C.

By the way, it looks as though our heatwave is over. The temperature in my area is back down to normal.

For some reason this reminds me of an old hit by Hedgehoppers Anonymous

It`s good news week,
Doctors finding many ways,
Of wrapping brains in metal trays,
To keep us from the heat.

To keep us from the heat.

To keep us from the heat.

Paul,
I'm suprised that Domestic Air Conditioning, never took off in the UK.
It's really taken off over here in New Zealand, as it generates heat in the Winter time without the Nasty smog caused by Open fires and Coal burners.
I've wired a very high percentage of the Carrier units that are in Ashburton, here.
But have a power cut and it's a different story!. [Linked Image]
