Since you guys were on the subject of ladders the other day I thought I might share an experience of mine with you. About 2 1/2 years ago I stepped off the second to the last rung of a ladder with full bags on and jammed my back. After 6 doctors, 10 physical therapists, 2 chiropractors, acupuncture, cortisone injections, a discogram and MRI,(not to mention literally hundreds of pain killers and over a year off work). I was finally diagnosed with 2 ruptured discs. Now I am 4 weeks post-op and the proud owner of 2 titanium cages, 2 titanium rods and 6 titanium screws. Recovery time is around 6 months! So, the moral of the story is be careful on your ladders!!! By the way I do have pictures if anybody would like to see them.
