What Canadian code is involved if I were to build my own aquarium LED lighting system. I hope to use either 42 volt 50 watt or 12 volt 3 watt LEDs. The power supply I can use 'off the shelf' and CSA approved. I hope to use 20,000 to 25,000 Kelvin (blue) LEDs that I found on eBay. Two tanks are 3 feet deep and two are 7 1/2 feet deep. Depth of adequate light will probably be the biggest issue. I may try bumping the voltage up to see if that helps. Any thoughts on reflection/diffusion as well?
