Our operation is retooling to start using quad-shield RG-6 and compression connectors instead of crimp-style. I purchased a cablepro PSA59/6 stripper to try it out and am not happy with it because I can't get it to strip more than the cable jacket. This means that when doing the terminations you have to spend a bunch of time folding back the shield layers before you can put the connector on. Are there any strippers that you can adjust to cut through all of the shields except the inner layer of foil? Does anyone have any additional advice for making fast and clean terminations on quad shield RG6?

You are probably not using the right stripper. I always recommend Cable Prep http://www.cableprep.com/ Choose the correct one for the cable you are using.

After that you have to expect to do some preparation before you can install the connector.

We used to have a part number for a universal stripper that was basically a stack of hinged metal plates with different size holes in it. It used single edged razor blades for the cutters and there was a couple rods with flycut grooves to set the blade depth for different cables. Once you got it set up it worked fairly well. We really had it for twinax but you could set it up for RG6.
